(Your blog is excellent. You are witty and intelligent.)

I think you give me far too much credit - IRL, I am actually very dull and stupid :p

(I agree with your statements about abortion, George Serial Killer Bush, and bringing the troops home, )

Wholey smokes, another human actually concurring with some of my viewpoints :O

(but I don’t agree with the death penalty. Humans shouldn’t kill humans.)

And there goes my streak of agreement :( ... Oh well, I had my moment in the sun :)....and now on to my response....

First, let me explain my point on the death penalty. The Death Penalty works, it is a deterrent - if for no other person, it deters the person put to death of ever causing another harm. Fact is, Cheechat, humans DO kill humans; humans kill animals, humans kill plants, humans kill insects, humans kill bacteria, humans kill the air, humans kill the water, humans kill the dirt - whether you like it or not, we are killing machines. I wish it weren't so, but it is and realistically I really don't see us being able to change the path we have all taken. Btw, not only are we killers, we are hypocrites as well. I can almost guarantee that you have killed something today...whether it was using your favorite cleaner to kill germs + poison the groundwater which in turn poisons the earth or the mere act of swatting that bothersome fly or mosquito. I know this is going too deep, but, I am just trying to demonstrate that we all engage in the act of "killing" every single day and last I checked, the commandment states: "Thou shall not kill", not "Thou shall not kill humans"; we as "humans" infer that definition.

(I’m commenting to say that I’m disappointed that you would condone torturing Mrs. Page, or actually any human. Yes, he committed terrible, unforgiveable acts, but torture and murder is wrong. In fact, I wonder how you can think up such a description as “anal cavity bruised severely.” Would your Jesus be proud of you?)

I am disappointed in myself as well, but, that is truly how I feel - it is my vasor-instinct on this particular topic. I doubt my "Jesus" is proud of me much during a typical day except that I help others and put others first as much as I possibly can and I am not a Hypoc"righty" or Republi"can't" which puts me on the good list almost automatically :p

(Why do you not say in your introduction if you are a parent? It is my proudest achievement. : ))

I probably wouldn't wish such evil demonic acts upon this vile THING if I weren't - Just imaging this wee one walking around in sub-zero temperatures looking for her mommy and daddy until she finally drops down curled up in the fetal position just makes me insane - If it weren't for my wee one and my significant other, I would PERSONALLY see to it that this THING would be made to suffer unspeakable acts of atrocity - I would broker my soul in order to do so. Than again, maybe I wouldn't feel so strongly absent of the previous statements. The only fantasy that I will be able to live out is I fully plan on finding this THING's grave when he is finally put to sleep and I will spit upon it until my mouth runs dry. I do feel badly that I feel this way, but it is the simple truth. The harsh reality is that this THING is going to be put to death no matter what you or I say, my only feeling is that why not save the taxpayers some money and let the prisoners take care of him for us. I wish I felt differently, but, I don't.

Martos and Greg should have been taken out back and saved the taxpayers money...but a snapshot in time never tells the whole story.

Greg was a smiling happy bright eyed blond headed kid until age 5...when my brother (Greg's dad) left his family to follow his Guru to California and become a teacher of meditation...I can admit I saw major unhappiness in that marrage...but won't pass any more judgement than to say youth does stupid things...marraige and kids are some of them without maturity and perspective. Greg grew up in a 12X50 trailer park N of Finleyville with a heartbroken mother (Russian head strong, but a nice enough girl). When he wopuld act up, Bobbie would call me to try to straighten Greg out...that boy needed a father, not a drive by advisor.

He got into progressive trouble over the years...bomb threats to get out of school...bicycle thefts...I wish now, I had taken more time. Bobbie got brain cancer...operations...hope/dispair...until she was tied to a bed the last 2 months of her life...her brain hurt so much she wanted to scratch the tumor mushrooms out herself...so they tied her down in pure misery. Greg shifted towards Chrissy, and had a daughter, but never had the skills to make it in the daytime world...everyone, including me, was busy elsewhere, and he went the way he did.

Oh...you can spit and dis this family for whatever your perspective or agenda may be...but let me assure you it's not a family of 40 IQs...can't speak for the Martos. I can say the family Modery has also been victimized and died a bit with each passing day.

we've also cried for the Swearingens...and it's not an easy journey to make the first statement I did in this reply...but in a social system, there's plenty of blame to go around...including the lawyers who twist and spin. I believe predators can't exist in the same world I raise my daughters to inherit...nor can ignorance.

when you have Flavor Flav and Paris Hilton promoted as role models and rock stars, as a parent, you begin to wonder what the media agenda is.

Greg failed because of the breakdown of the family...and the ape reverted to the wild from the social, in part from heartbreak, in part from poor examples. Teach your children well.

the "spit on graves" and IQ of 40 is part of it...you don't really imagine your reading the words of an inferior mind...do you?

Well, Alex, I must admit, as a bucco fan, I was intially partial to the Pirates getting PNC Park. Five years later, reality has set in. I will NEVER EVER EVER again stand by and allow a "sports franchise" to rape this city. This new era of corporate welfare absolutely sickens me. Funny how the Bushie administration and the so-called christian right do everything in their power to squash people on the welfare system, yet sit idly by as corporations rake the government for BILLIONS of dollars year in and year out. That is not the "Christianity" that I am accustomed to. The Christians are soo easily fooled by the sacrimonious "bone" thrown their way by the political right (ie Abortion, Stem Cell Research) that they completely forget about the rest - the "Love thy neighbor" - During one of my Priest's weekly homilies, he stated the importance of not "choosing" which rules to live by of the ten commandments, yet the RIGHTIES seem to make generous careers out of it. Well, enough soap boxing, in response to your initial statement, I was always against public funding for Heinz Field (because they could afford to do it on their own), and a new arena (because the Pens and hockey simply will not be alive in Pittsburgh after the next 10 years); unfortunately, I ended up being "Tina Turner" in the PNC Park relationship and it took many years of "Ike" (aka Kevin McKeepAllTheMoneyAndRun and the Notorious Nuttings) beating me up year in and year out until I finally mustered the guts to strike back! People who know me will be shocked about my next statement, but, if the Pirates are not purchased or taken over by a new owner in the next couple of years, I WANT THEM TO MOVE....Heck, I DEMAND THAT THEY MOVE!

Mark,

Thank you for your comments. The other question I have is if he did use steroids, what if it was 8 years ago and he only did one cycle? The court of public opinion simply must understand that they will never be able to convict bonds short of an actual positive drug test. Someone would have to had witnessed bonds not only purchasing the steroids, but also injecting them as well. If there was a steroid poster boy in MLB, it was Mark McGwire. Funny how MLB was willing to turn the cheek during that prolific homerun battle between him and Sosa which was actually partially responsible for putting baseball back on the map. Compared to Bonds and if the "muscular ratio" is what we are going by in our witch hunt; Bonds was dwarfed by McGwire. Shame on MLB - this is simply a witch hunt and Selig's legacy is quickly turning to that of another Nincompoop= Ford Frick. What's done is done - no crying over spilled milk..If Bonds used or is still using now - how come he hasn't tested positive? Believe me, he has and probably still is enduring more tests than the average moe. We should be enjoying this prolific homerun chase instead of wondering about steroid use and as far as the old timers whose records are falling, it was going to happen anyways....Somebody like A-Rod could actually eclipse the 800 homerun mark if he stays healthy. If he tests positive for steroids, than shame on him and he will deserve everyone coming down on him, but, until that day, this is more like a bunch of whiny sports reporters trying to re-live their "so-called" glory days in high school...these are the true wannabees...those who REPORT sports only do so because they were not good enough to PLAY...thats one thing i love about Bond's, he gives the media a taste of their own medicine

I believe he may have taken steriods..but you are right,...no proof...yet... I have followed Bonds religously since Pitt...
